• Farewell Jack!
    The kind lady gave Jessica food
    And a fancy cage for Jack.
  • "Why can't I fly?"
    Days and weeks and months went by.
    Jack grew a little but he could not fly.
  • Sniffing for the lost keys!
    "I can pick up the scent of your keys in a jiff,
    Your perfume distinctive gives off an odd whiff.
    Already I sense they are somewhere quite
    near; In the kitchen!"
    And off scurried Sniff without fear.
  • Getting back to earth!
    And in such sticky spots true genius is found,
    In a flash Sniff knew how to get to the ground.
    His incisors they pierced the balloon's silver skin,
    It began to deflate, and the helium within
    Leaked out with a hiss into his mouth and nose;
    The balloon sank lower, but Sniff upward rose.

Welcome to Jacksbooks

We're glad you've found us, or maybe we found you! Jacksbooks was started all because of a little guy called Jack. From him Jacksbooks has grown a little bigger. Jack encouraged Mike to write all sorts of stories, and Esther to conjure up all sorts of images. And then along came Bruce and made the words and the images come alive. And then along came Sniff, and another illustrator - Simon! Jacksbooks is all about inspirational, engaging, dynamically illustrated children's picture books; books we think adults will love too.

Our first book was Jack, published in October 2008, and our second book Sniff was released in September 2011.
